TRANSFORMATION FOR THE SECOND CHAKRA -- LOVE BEYOND DEPENDENCY

Love is a major life lesson for everyone. Love is such a nourishment, because it is a basic human need to feel loved, yet love can also bring so much suffering. Inside each of us there is a thirst for pure love, unconditional love, but more often the love we find in our lives is mixed with dependency, domination, jealousy, possessiveness and fear. Our longing for love takes us into relationship with another person, but relationship is not easy, it means to encounter the personality and the unconscious behavior of another person and that brings up our own unconsciousness.

In the human energy system, it is the second energy center that we function from when we are in intimacy with another person. Each of the chakra has its own particular polarity, two opposite energies that work together. In the second chakra it is the love-hate duality. Love is wanting to be close to another person, to melt and merge with the other in intimacy, it feels so good to be loved and accepted, but when we go too far to one side of the duality, the energy gets stuck. Too much love leads to no freedom, we feel suffocated, dominated and possessed by the same person we wanted so much to be close to. So then swing to the other side, the “Hate” side of the polarity – we then want to be distant from the other, to be alone or to find a different partner to be in love with. Suddenly we want to independent. But when we go too far, we feel cut off from intimacy, our aloneness becomes loneliness, and we begin to miss the other person, so we start to swing back to the “love” side again. And so on we go, whether it is within one relationship or over many relationships. And when the other person is also swinging from dependency to independency, it effects our own emotions and behavior. We can find ourselves chasing after someone who is rejecting us, or we are running away from some trying to catch us.

On the “Love” side we want intimacy and we find dependency.
On the “Hate” side we want freedom, independence and we find loneliness.

In relationship both people are playing the same love-hate game, it a constant struggle and then the love partners cannot understand where the love has disappeared to.

By consciously exploring this polarity we can come to a new understanding of a conscious relating.

This workshop is an intensive exploration, in which the emotional side of relationship is experienced with more clarity, new understanding and insight can come about. In the style of the Chakra Transformation Workshops, it is a total experience for body, emotions, mind and spirit. We explore our own relationship patterns and then we can learn the “Keys for Transformation”, to take back with us into the relationships of our life – marriage, family and friends.

This group is for those that want to explore and understand more about the way they relate with others, it is for all of us with issues of dependency and independency, and it is for those that want to melt into their own self-love. The workshop is open for all, but previous participation in the Transformation for the First Chakra: from Fear to Love group is highly recommended.

“Everybody wants intimacy because otherwise you are alone in this universe -- without a friend, without a lover, without anybody you can trust, without anybody to whom you can open all your wounds.

And the wounds cannot heal unless they are open.

The more you hide them, the more dangerous they become.

They can become cancerous.

Intimacy is an essential need on the one hand, so everybody longs for it. But he wants the other person to be intimate, so that the other person drops his defenses, becomes vulnerable, opens all his wounds, drops all his masks and false personality, stands naked as he is. And on the other hand, everybody is afraid of intimacy -- with the other person you want to be intimate with, you are not dropping your defenses.

This is one of the conflicts between friends, between lovers: nobody wants to drop his defenses and nobody wants to come in utter nudity and sincerity, open -- and both need intimacy.”
